Job Description
The Test Engineer is a key role in our product development organization to ensure our solutions meet high standards of quality and the expectations of our customers. This position will focus on identity management components product offerings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will help our customers succeed with Apple by:
- Building a deep understanding of workflows that make our customers successful and applying that knowledge to ensuring the quality of each release
- Executing test scenarios across mobile, OS X and web applications
- Collaboratively developing test cases for new or evolving features and products
- Daily applying your knowledge of CI/CD principals to help rapidly deliver software
- Working with your teammates to employ Agile development methods and practices to quickly and iteratively build high quality software
- Working directly with software engineers, product owners, technical writers, software architects, user experience architects, scrum masters, and others to define, plan and execute projects
You will help your colleagues by:
- Positively impacting coworkers and teams in a highly collaborative environment
- Engaging and coordinating with Test Engineers across teams to contribute to overall test strategy and testing knowledge
- Responding to requests for help and even going out of your way to help wherever you see need
- Relentlessly growing in your craftsmanship as a software engineer and helping others do the same
Skills & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
- 2+ years-experience developing or testing enterprise grade software (Required)
- 2+ years of experience using the macOS and iOS platforms (Required) General Experience with development practices like Unit Testing, Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Testing
- Solid understanding of Agile Scrum and/or Kanban as well as basic CI/CD principals
- Technical aptitude and desire for continued learning of products, the latest in testing methods and technology, and the ever-changing world of Apple Software Development and products
- Good communication, analytical, and listening skills
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in a results-driven culture
- Strong written and oral English language skills
