More than 20 years has passed since the Agile Manifesto introduced the world to new ways of working within Software Development. One of the key benefits of Agile was supposed to be built-in quality and yet, in most cases, quality has become the biggest challenge for Agile and DevOps product teams.

Why does quality continue to lag? Because many development teams have gone too far in favor the “left side” of agile tenants and taken the risk of out-right ignoring the proven good practices of the “right side” of quality.  How do you balance proven good practices with contemporary agile tenants and add quality activities that greatly improve the success of a Product team.

About our Presenter:

Robert Gormley has his fingers on the pulse of the quality assurance profession and is a frequent guest presenter for TCQAA, as well as many national conferences.  He is currently a Chief Essentialist & Solution Architect of Continuous Quality at Trissential and has worked for 20+ years in Quality Assurance.  With broad process leadership expertise, he has delivered digital transformation through quality management within Fortune 500 companies across all industries.  He helps companies transform their business through Agile, DevOps, RPA, Automation, IoT, and AI/ML.

From his early days to present day, Robert's focus has always been creating lean, agile processes that allow organizations to produce quality software that meets customer needs.  Leveraging his Master's in Education and his passion for quality innovation and transformation, he provides education and mentoring for companies and professionals around the globe.
