What is Behavior Driven Development and what makes this approach of development so different from what we're used to?

As we rush to deliver a product to the consumer in the shortest amount of time, tracing what has been developed and tested proved to be challenging. BDD approach of software development steps up to that challenge and offers a simple and yet compelling solution. Stressing collaboration and communication between teams, BDD approach let's you develop and test the application from the perspective of a consumer. It is not a surprise that BDD is becoming more widely practiced.
