Abstract:  Effective Use of Automated Load Testing Tools to Tune Web Applications

Web-based systems are some of the most complex systems we are building today. They involve many, sometimes disparate components that need to work together as a single unit to provide the functionality and performance needed for today's businesses. These components could include Web Servers, Application Servers, Load Balancers, Networks, Firewalls, Database Systems, Legacy Systems, Software Drivers / Translators, and Internet Service Providers. This presentation will discuss how the use of automated load testing tools can be used to verify operation, identify  and correct problems associated with high use, web-based systems.
