If you have considered getting certified as a quality analyst (CQA) or software test engineer (CSTE) and are concerned about what and how to prepare, then you are in luck!

The Twin Cities Quality Assurance Association (TCQAA) is pleased to offer preparatory courses for both certifications. The classes will be taught by Tim Pelland, Director of Professional Development, from the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) in Orlando, Florida, the administrators of the CQA and CSTE certifications.

CQA certification is formal recognition of a level of proficiency in the IS quality assurance industry. CQAs receive recognition of their competence by business and professional associates, potentially more rapid career advancement and greater acceptance in the role of advisor to management.

The Certified Quality Analyst Prep Course has been designed specifically to prepare the quality assurance professional for the CQA examination. The course provides a thorough background of quality fundamentals and also includes the more advanced concepts, which the Certified Quality Analyst must understand. The successful completion of this course, along with the necessary practical experience and related resource familiarity, will well prepare you for the CQA examination. Tim Pelland is the director of professional development at the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI). Tim has over 25 years in the telecommunications and computer industry with over 14 years as a trainer. Tim has worked in various capacities within the IT industry including being an A-plus certified PC technician and a Certified Microsoft Office User Specialist. In addition to Tim's normal duties at QAI, he teaches various QAI courses and programs, consults, and presents at conferences.

QAI initiated the CQA certification program in 1985 and has awarded over 3,000 CQA certifications worldwide. QAI initiated the CSTE certification program in 1996 and has awarded over 2,200 certifications worldwide. These preparatory courses are the only courses approved by QAI for exam applicants.
