The e-commerce, i-commerce area is an exciting, fast moving area to work in, but it leads to many challenges in getting out a quality product. This talk proposes to look at how the processes of build, test, and documentation interact and are affected by the pace. It will cover such issues of coordination, planning (!), and recruiting in a fast moving, fast growing environment. Release processes are a particular challenge in such an environment. Process improvement in a chaotic environment, and some examples of how changes were incorporated will also be covered.
This is the first of a series of two talks; next month's talk will focus in on the technical specifics of the testing in such an environment.
