As corporate America embraces eCommerce and eBusiness applicatons, new areas of risk are emerging. Most of these applications have database servers, multiple application servers, backend legacy systems and web servers. This n-tier architecture provides multiple opportunities for performance problems within one system. Many applications are being used directly by external customers and poor performing systems result in lost customers and lost revenues.
Load and performance testing tools are used to test the infrastructure of these complex systems. This presentation will cover concepts, strategies and a demonstration of an actual test using Mercury Interactive’s LoadRunner. Although the demo will use Mercury Interactives’ LoadRunner, the concepts presented are non-tool specific and will apply to any load or performance testing tool. Learn the answers to these questions:
